Georgia Veterinary Specialists is both a multi-specialty referral hospital and an emergency center, and the hours of operation differ for specific services. GVS is open 24/7 because of our emergency services and ICU, which are staffed around the clock, seven days a week, every day of the year. An appointment is not necessary for emergency services. However, to be seen by a specialist, your pet must first be referred by your veterinarian. Appointments for specialists are required and are scheduled Monday through Friday, with specific hours varying by specialty.
